The Military Wives Choir Stafford is a part of the Military Wives Choir Foundation.

Stafford choir has been running since October 2013 and was originally started by an RAF wife, Sheryl Godwin. It was set up to enable ladies with a military connection living in and around Stafford to meet up each week for friendship and singing, as well as the odd cake and coffee night! The choir has also grown in number thanks to an influx to the base from two large German regiments in 2015, so now have a variety of talents to offer as well as singing, from flutists to violinists and even a poet/writer. The ladies loved working on the 'Home for Christmas' and 'Remember' albums and cannot wait to see what other exciting opportunities the upcoming opportunities hold.

We now have a new Musical Director, Dan Hollingshurst.

Dan Hollingshurst is a busy music teacher and conductor, currently leading twelve different choirs with singers ranging in age from 5 to 85 years old. His fun approach and belief that absolutely anyone can sing, led the BBC to brand him “Staffordshire’s answer to Gareth Malone”. Dan only started conducting Stafford Military Wives Choir in September 2017, so was already committed to another performance this evening with another of his choirs.

We regularly sing at events around the Staffordshire area and we are always looking to welcome new members to our choir. We rehearse every Wednesday evening at The Beacon Tree, Stafford, ST16 3UH.

Wednesday evening rehearsal times:

19:00-19.30: Meet and Greet / setup

19:30-21:15: Choir Practice
