Stafford's Military Wives Choir celebrates concert success

MEMBERS of Stafford’s newest choir are celebrating a triumphant start to their concert career.


The Military Wives Choir from MoD Stafford sang to a packed audience at the town’s St Mary’s Church on Saturday morning in their first full-length concert since they got together less than a year ago.


Choir chairwoman Sheryl Godwin said they were delighted with the success of the event.


“I’m really proud of how hard our ladies have worked and how well they have done,” she said.


Mrs Godwin launched the choir last autumn after moving to Stafford from RAF Benson with her husband Dave, a flight lieutenant with RAF Tactical Supply Wing.


"We are quite a small choir compared with the one at Benson, which had 60 members, but we are growing,” she said. Read more...
